Catalina Island Vacation

Jimmy and I decided to end our summer with a trip to Catalina for our third anniversary. We had such a blast! Charlie had a really fun time too. On the hour ride over to the island she fell asleep in the chair. She looked so cute.

When we arrived we found our hotel and then went straight for the ice cream. There were ice cream shops everywhere we went. Charlie must of thought she was in heaven!

After the first ice cream cone we spent a few hours on the beach. Charlie and Jimmy had so much fun building sand castles, chasing birds, kicking in the waves and digging a water hole. The weather was perfect. Not too hot, but not too cold!

She discovered footprints in the sand. She liked to walk in Jimmy's footprint the most.

There is the poor bird she really wanted to catch...she kept calling it a duck!

She had sand from head to toe! Would you expect any different!?!

Daddy, Charlie and Mommy

Charlie is not very fond of seaweed. She will touch it but says "Yucky" the whole time. She did not like it when Daddy turned into a seaweed monster.

We also played in the sand at the beach club down from the main beach and sat on the nice lounge chairs that cost $100 to rent for the day. Crazy! We went at the closing time so we didn't have to pay. I think we snuck in now that I think about it. During the day you have to have a wrist band.

The next day we played at the beach again. Just what we love to do! It was so great to just wake up in the morning and walk to the beach. What a life!

She couldn't let any sand castle go without a good stomping!

Charlie was even dirtier than the first day! Sand was everywhere!

We found two different parks to play at before it was time to go to bed.

In the front of our hotel was this antique car.

We had such a fun and relaxing time. Charlie was so great and napped at all the right times. Jimmy and I got to eat some great dinners and lunches while she slept. It was fun exploring Catalina in a family friendly way and having Jimmy all to myself for 3 whole days. We can't wait to go back.

  1. What a great trip! I've been wanting to take my girls there too! I love it there...Jamie proposed to me on one of those beaches!
