We went to the river for the main reason of dropping the boat off to its real home. For the last month it has been in our driveway. It actually didn't take up that much room. Charlotte had a fun time playing in the sand by the river. It was still a little too cold for us! I think this summer will be soooo much fun!

Knott's Berry Farm
We are officially pass holders to Knott's Berry Farm. Even though there is only about 6 rides Charlie can actually ride on, it was still fun! I couldn't pass on paying $60 for a pass that is good all year long. It is a great place to go for just a couple of hours and for such an inexpensive price. Charlie liked the hot air balloon ride (I did not!) the most. She was too small for a couple of rides, but she had fun watching YaYa go on them. Kevin and Katie bought her the cutest little pink hat with her name on it. Thanks so much. It sure is no Disneyland...but we still had a great time! Hopefully next time we will see Snoopy.

Dying Eggs
Charlotte had more fun dipping her hands in the bowls full of dye than actually dipping the eggs in. She did get a few in, but as soon as the eggs had a chance to change colors she would grab them right out and wack them together! We had a few cracked ones we made scrambled eggs out of right away. Better luck next year...

Bubbles!
We went to the Science Discovery Center today to see the best bubble maker in the world Yan Fang. I didn't realize bubble making was such an art. He was an amazing bubble maker. Charlotte enjoyed the first 15 minutes of the show. I think she wanted to actually blow the bubbles herself so she got a little antsy. After the show Charlotte got to blow bubble herself outside with the dinosaurs. I think Charlotte thought the bubble tables were water tables and splashed in them a bit. Jimmy tried to put Adelyn in a bubble and realized Yan Fang really does has talent (because he couldn't do it!). Then Adelyn tried to put Charlotte in a bubble! All Charlotte got was a soapy hair do instead. She didn't seem to mind. When we got home Charlotte and Adelyn splashed in the water table and then tried out her new bubble blower Nicole gave her for Easter. It has a fan on it so you have to push a button to make the bubbles. It is the best bubble maker ever! Charlotte loves it! Thanks Cole!

Go Snuggies!
On Kevin's birthday we went to the Angel game and it was SNUGGIE night. We were part of history by breaking the world record of "Most People in Snuggies" at one time. The girls made it until the 6 inning thanks to a little "Yo Gabba Gabba" on the Cooks' family cell phones. I really need to get those shows on my phone too!
Lately Charlotte wakes up asking for "Muno" or "Minnie" because she loves Yo Gabba Gabba and Mickey Mouse Club House so much just like Adelyn. She loves to dance to the music the most. She also has been talking so much. She repeats a little of everything you say. She is a little parrot!
Pretend City
Charlie had a great time running all around Pretend City. There was so much to do. Charlie mostly liked to throw the vegetables everywhere in the grocery store, shovel soil (rubber bark), sweep, dance on the stage and ride in every car at least twice. She also colored a butterfly all red. She would not color any other color on it! This was her first piece of art. Hopefully we will be taking the art class in La Mirada this summer so there will be more art to come. Adelyn and Kingston also came but we did not see them much because they all went in different directions. We will definitely be back this summer. Only 49 more school days!

A Successful 10 Hours of Easter Fun

Going Golf Ball Hunting
Today we went to Candlewood for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Charlotte got to meet the Easter bunny there since I did not get her to the mall to take a $30 picture! (I sure hope Auntie Nicole took a good picture.) Charlotte is an expert egg collector. As the hunt began Charlotte knew just what to do. She grabbed her basket and ran towards the eggs. She picked up the eggs with one hand and placed them into her basket and went to look for more. Do babies come out of the womb with the natural ability to Easter egg hunt? Charlotte sure did. I was amazed that she knew exactly what to do! Maybe Auntie Darlene let her practice at her house this week...I will have to ask her. Anyway, Charlotte especially loved it when she discovered a great big pile of Easter eggs and began to put them all in her basket. Little did she know they were actually yellow golf balls! Tonight, I dumped her basket out on the living room carpet so she could play with her eggs. She laughed and put them all back in the basket. She feels a great sense of accomplishment when they are all in the basket. I must have dumped them out about 20 times tonight and she picked them up every time! I think we will be seeing Easter eggs around the house for a long time. Today was lots of fun. Even though we did not find the golden egg! Better luck next year...
